Nestled in the heart of a generous nature and full of charm, the village of Aloxe-Corton is one of those where you can still find the typical architecture of the vineyard. At the turn of pretty limestone houses, you will find the heart of the village, some of the most beautiful houses but also winemakers three castles :

- Castle of Corton-Grancey built from 1749.
- Castle Corton André, late nineteenth century, has replaced a beautiful house of eighteenth century.
- Castle of Corton transformed between 1885 et 1890 instead of very old buildings that belonged to the family Vergnette de la Motte, for several centuries. And, before that, at the Abbey of Citeaux.
- Church of 1890 par Pinchard, replaced a very ancient chapel which stood on the site of the Chapter, for almost 1000 years.

The reputation of the wines, already high at the time of Roman Gaul, has been steadily gaining in prestige for centuries. With its 245 hectares of vines, Aloxe-Corton whose surface is entirely in appellation is one of the smallest vineyard areas of the coast.

The designations are coming from our region: Aloxe-Corton, Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru, and two prestigious Grands Crus: Corton (only red grand cru Côte de Beaune) and Corton Charlemagne (one two great white wines of Côte d'Or).

Its surface area of great wines being the largest of the coast (over 100 hectares) this region offers a wide variety of climates ranging from the firmness to the elegance without losing its general character. They are all from the Pinot Noir for the reds and Chardonnay for whites.
